About This Guide
Lake Livingston Guide is a locally run guide to the second-largest lake entirely in Texas.
Information about Lake Livingston is scattered across state park pages, marina Facebook posts, old fishing forums, and booking sites that lump in parks from other lakes. This guide puts what visitors actually need in one place and keeps it current.
We cover the whole shoreline across Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, and Walker counties, not just one town.
How Listings Work
Every business near the lake can be listed for free. Businesses can pay for a featured spot, and featured spots are always clearly labeled. Paying never changes the order or content of regular listings.
How This Guide Makes Money
The guide is paid for by advertising. Businesses can buy a featured spot at the top of their category, sponsor the lake weekend email, or, for real estate agents, buy a featured spot in the agent directory for a flat monthly fee. Every paid spot is labeled. We don't charge real estate agents per lead or take a share of any commission.
The company behind this guide also runs websites for lake property owners, about things like shoreline permits and septic systems. When we link to one of them, we say so right above the link, and those links only appear on our Buying on the Lake page, never on visitor pages like RV parks, ramps, or restaurants.
Corrections
Fees, hours, and ramp access change, especially with the seasons and the lake level. If something here is wrong, email [email protected] and we'll fix it.
